Visit to Moffett Feb 5th, 2011
We’ll be visiting the NASA Visitors Center at Moffett Field starting at Noon on February 5th. Although reservations are not necessary it would help if I could give them an idea of how many will be attending so please let Tony know if you will be attending and how many guests. Here’s a link to their web site http://www.nasa.gov/centers/ames/home/exploration.html , admission is free.
There’s also a separate Moffett Field Museum located nearby with exhibits from the 1930s to the modern era, here’s a link to their web site http://www.moffettfieldmuseum.org admission is $5, seniors $3 and youths $2. They open at 10am and have offered a docent guided tour if there’s a group of us. So if you like we could visit the Moffett Field Museum at 10am and the NASA visitors Center at Noon. Please let Tony know if you’d also like to visit the Moffett Museum, you don’t have to do both.
Also please let Tony know if you’re interested in having lunch after the NASA visit, I haven’t found a nearby restaurant yet so again please give me an idea if you’d like to get together for lunch and I’ll find somewhere nearby that can accommodate us.
Given the distance from Hollister to Moffett, it probably makes sense to car pool. If you’re planning on driving and have spare seats please let me know and if you’d like a ride please let me know and I’ll do my best to put you in touch with each other.
This is open to all, you don’t have to be an EAA member to join us on this trip.
Please respond by the end of the week if you can.
Thanks,
Tony
